for Lloyd’s Register of Shipping in Spain, at the Cádiz office: Shipbuiding surveyor for yards and workshops in Cádiz and Seville areas. Expert in ship structures, materials, welding, naval machinery, etc.

for Det Norske Veritas and Germanischer Lloyd in Chile. Currently Non-Exclusive Inspector on behalf of DNV GL in Chile.

• Technical Consultant in a variety of projects in the naval, maritime, mining and industrial sectors. Knowledge of International Conventions covering technical aspects of ships: shipbuilding, hull, stability, inclining experiment, machinery, safety equipment, safety construction, SOLAS surveys, loadlines, tonnage, etc. IMO related surveys and certification.

Expertise in Engineering, Procurement and Construction. Specialized in Materials, Welding Inspections, Welding Procedures Approval and Welder Qualification. Inspection in workshops checking compliance with approved construction drawings, including welding details, NDT, etc.

Expert in Casualty and technical failure investigation.

Has implemented the first scheme of inspection and certification of Port Cranes, Lifting Appliances and Loose Gear in Chile, in the STI terminal in San Antonio (started 2001). These rules are a proposal for international standard on the subject.

Has also worked as a Machinery and Shipbuilding Surveyor for the Chilean Maritime Administration.
